Objectives and Project Activities:
Progress continues on the basic project grant awarded to the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).  We lost one of our interns in August 2010 to a fulltime job, but, with the help of an extension until December 31, 2010, we continue to work towards our objectives.  It is difficult to make as much progress with only one intern, but even with this cutback in personnel, we have managed to arrange all 18 collections and we are currently describing our 12th collection.

The ACDA Archive holds a photographic collection of American choral
music dating back to the 1960s.  These photographs trace the people and
events connected with the growth of ACDA over the past half century,
which in turn provides a pictorial history of choral music in the
United States.  Over the next few months, we will be adding pictures
and content to complete this story up to the current day. Please join
us during this process to relive the events and to learn more about the
