Assistant Professor, Choral Music Education
APPOINTMENT August 2011
RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct Women’s Chorus; teach music for the elementary teacher; other assignments made according to the candidate’s strengths and the needs of the department, and may include courses in music education at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. The successful candidate will engage in scholarship/creative activity, assist in the work of the department, serve on departmental, college, and university committees, and represent the department in service to the public.
QUALIFICATIONS Required: a doctorate in music (ABD will be considered); evidence of successful choral conducting skills and public school teaching. Desirable: evidence of successful college teaching experience.
RANK AND SALARY Assistant Professor. 9-month, tenure-track. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Detailed information about the department may be found at www.wku.edu/music
