2009 Interest Session - Tension in the Balance & Common Voice Science Issues for the Choral Conductor

This session will summarize and highlight recent scientific research findings in the area of voice science and pedagogy as they apply to choral conductors. The topics include such areas as nasal/mask resonance, vibrato and singer health, choral acoustics, onset techniques, and choral breathing. The session will be both practical and applicable as all research findings will be applied to real-life choral rehearsal situations and best practices will be suggested.
