Women's Performance Shoes
Submitted by Thomas_Coe on Tue, 08/25/2009 - 21:06.
I used to get concert shoes for the women in my choirs from Wal-mart or Payless for around $10. They no longer carry them and I can't find similar shoes for anywhere near the same price. I'm looking for a black, closed-toe, flat or low-heel shoe and I'm wondering if anyone has a good resource.

Character Shoes
Hello Thomas,
I just read your post from all the way back in August '09(today is 2/11/10). Our school has all of the girls purchase a black character shoe from a local dance shop. It is called "Dancers Pointe", located in Perrysburg, Ohio. This may not do you any good, depending on where you are from. I teach in Toledo, OH(Perrysburg is a suburb). Our girls can go to the store, get measured and then if their size is not in stock, the store will order. They charge $27.00(no tax), which is a 25% discount, since we send them so many girls. I know that it's not close to the $10 price range of other stores, but the shoes do last a long time. You may want to try and connect with a local dance shop in your area.
