Sr. High School Repertoire & Standards Leadership

National Chair: Dan Bishop (Dbishop007@comcast.net)

 Dan Bishop is currently teaches at Clovis East High School, at the
Reagan Educational Center, in Clovis California. Dan is also the entire
music department at the newest Community College in Fresno, Willow and
International, where he directs the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and
teaches Music Appreciation. He has served as a vocal and instrumental
music educator at Immanuel High School, Washington Intermediate in
Dinuba, and Madera High School, and as an Adjunct instructor at CSU
Fresno. His current High School teaching assignment is full time choral
music (6 choirs) and AP Music Theory. Dan was a teaching assistant at
the UMKC Conservatory of Music teaching private voice to freshman and
sophomore voice majors. Dan is also owner of DYNAMIC XPRESSIONS, a music
services company/studio specializing in choral concert recording as
well as private voice instruction. Dan is an active performer both in
Broadway and Classical music styles, and has devoted 20+ years of his
professional life to church related music and programs. He received his
BA in vocal and instrumental music education from Tabor College, in
Hillsboro, Kansas and his Master’s degree from the Conservatory of Music
at the University of Missouri, at Kansas City. Dan has completed post
masters and credential work at CSU-Fresno and Fresno Pacific College
both in Fresno, California. Dan is married to the incredibly talented
Heather Bishop of Clovis North High School, and has three children:
Ben, Becca, and Willy.

Central Division Chair: Angela Hampton (ahampton@nafcs.k12.in.us)

Since 1995, Angela Vaughn Hampton has been the Director of Choral Music and Handbells at Floyd Central High School in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Angela directs four choirs and two handbell ensembles and teaches A.P. Music Theory. In addition, she is the music director for Floyd Central’s Theatre Department and serves on several school committees. Angela holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with emphasis in voice and piano, and a Masters of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Louisville School of Music with additional graduate study at Indiana University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is an active member of ACDA, MENC, and AGEHR. Choirs under her direction have performed for IMEA, ICDA and Central Division ACDA. She has served as a clinician for ICDA, IMEA, AGEHR, the Louisville Suzuki Piano Institute and the Greater Louisville Music Teachers Association, and was a staff member for the Kentucky Ambassadors of Music in 2004, 2006 and 2008. She is active in her community as a church musician and as a free-lance pianist/accompanist.

Eastern Division Chair: Bill Pappazisis (wpappazisis@belmont.k12.ma.us)

North Central Division Chair: Cathy Britton (cbritton@sfcss.org)

Cathy Britton has been a music educator for 33 years with the last 19 years at the high school level. A South Dakota native, she received her BFA and Master degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. Choirs under her direction have been selected to sing for state and divisional ACDA conventions. Cathy has been actively involved in South Dakota chapter of ACDA since 1988. She was divisional R & S chair for Show and Jazz Choir from 1993-97, SD-ACDA State newsletter editor for 5 years and SD-ACDA president from 2003-05. Cathy received the SD-ACDA Encore Award in 1996 and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. Cathy is currently in her 9th year at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, SD. She is married to Bill. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

Northwestern Division Chair: Ryan Batcheller (ryanbatcheller@hotmail.com)

Southern Division Chair: Tom Yackley (yackley@fultonschools.org)

Thomas Yackley has taught for over twenty-seven years including three years at East Canton Junior/Senior High School in Ohio, twenty years at Milton High School and at Alpharetta High School since it opened in 2004. He serves Fulton County as the department chair for high school choruses. Yackley holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from The Florida State University. He is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, which he has served as District Vice-Chairman, District Choral Chairman, and District Festival Chairman. He has been a life member of the American Choral Directors Association since 1979. He has served Georgia ACDA as R&S chair, membership chairman, webmaster, and President. He is currently serving ACDA Southern Division as R&S chair for high school choruses.
