Central Division Chair: Kevin Dobreff (kdobreff@grcc.edu)

Kevin Dobreff, is the Department Head of Music and Performing Arts at Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Dobreff has an undergraduate degree in Choral and Instrumental Music Education from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in choral conducting and literature from Marshall University.  Mr. Dobreff  is currently ABD for the DMA degree in Choral Conducting and Literature from Michigan State University. In addition to his responsibilities as Department Head, Mr. Dobreff conducts the college choir and the Madrigal Singers, and teaches aural comprehension.

 

Eastern Division Chair: Yiping Wu (wuy@sunysccc.edu 

 Yiping Wu
Yiping Wu is Associate Professor at Schenectady County Community
College, NY, where he conducts two choirs, teaches Aural Skills and
studio voice. He came to the US from China in 1990s, and received his
MM in Choral Conducting from Radford University, Virginia and DMA in
Choral Conducting and Pedagogy from University of Iowa, Iowa.

 

North-Central Division Chair: Teresa Ashworth (teresa.ashworth@minnesota.edu)

Teresa Ashworth is Director of Choral Activities at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Northwestern Division Chair: James Knox (jwknox@cocc.edu)

James Knox is Associate Professor of Music at Central Oregon Community College, directs the Cascade Chorale, the College Choir and is the founder of  its vocal  jazz ensemble, the Central Singers.

 

 

 

Southern Division Chair: Dianna Campbell (campbelld@seminolestate.edu)

Dianna Campbell is the Director of Choral Activities at Seminole State College of Florida in Sanford, Fl. She currently directs the Concert Chorale, SeminoleSound Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the Community Choir and serves as advisor to the vocal/choral majors.  Mrs. Campbell received her Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Florida, Gainesville, with high honors and her Masters in Music, Choral Conducting, with highest honors, from the University of South Florida, Tampa.   Active in many professional organizations, Dianna Campbell has previously served as District Chair for the Florida Vocal Association (FVA) and as R&S Chair for Two-Year Colleges for the Florida ACDA.

 

Southwestern Division Chair: Dr. Jerry Myers (gmyers34@stlcc.edu)

Jerry Myers is the Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at St. Louis Community College at Meramec where he conducts the Concert Choir, founded and conducts the Chamber Choir, and supervises the choral and theory programs. Prior to his appointment at STLCC, he was on the faculty of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA for ten years. He holds the D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, M.A. in Music from Western Illinois University and B.M. in Vocal Performance from Illinois State University. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the 2010 American International Choral Festival and is a Board Member for the Kirkwood (MO) Area Arts Council. Active in ACDA and other organizations, he was the editor of the Virginia ACDA website and the award-winning newsletter, Virginia Harmony, for several years before he was selected as President-Elect. As a guest clinician and lecturer, Dr. Myers conducts honor choirs and presents at conferences regularly. His choirs have performed in the prestigious venues of Austria, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, and Cuba.

Western Division Chair: Bret Peppo (bpeppo@dvc.edu)

Bret Peppo is Director of Choral/Vocal Music at Diablo Valley College where he conducts the Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and oversees the comprehensive voice program.  In addition to his duties as a conductor, he also teaches applied voice and musical theater.   Mr. Peppo holds a B.A. in Vocal Music Education from Eastern Illinois University, an M.A. in Conducting from Illinois State University and is ABD from the University of Iowa in Choral Conducting and Pedagogy.   His choirs have performed for the All-State Conferences. 

The Repertoire & Standards leadership for Two-Year Colleges seeks to improve the quality of choral performance and literature through the definition and implementation of high standards in our choral programs, and in the support of efforts to improve those standards nationally through its service to Two-Year College choral directors throughout the United States.  R&S Chairs, appointed at the national, division, and state levels assist in providing  leadership, information, networking, excellence among colleagues, professional growth, and guidance for choral and ensemble growth in the Two-Year College setting.
