TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ACDA'S STUDENT MEMBERSHIP INITIATIVE
Do you qualify for this initiative?

There are two conditions for your participation:
  1. You may not be a current ACDA member. This initiative is for new ACDA members only (or if your membership has been lapsed for at least three years). Any exceptions to this rule are made by state leadership for their state, and are noted in the chart below.
  2. You must reside in a state that has chosen to participate in the program. We will be posting those states in the list below - states will be opting in throughout the fall. (Has your state not opted in yet? You may click here to go to our page that links to state ACDA websites. Contact your state president to inquire as to the state plans.)
STUDENTS: If there is no contact listed for your state in the table below, your state has not yet opted in to the program.

DO NOT SEND APPLICATIONS OR $5 PAYMENTS TO THE NATIONAL OFFICE! They will be returned to you.

To join ACDA through this initiative:
  1. Verify that your state is participating in the program (check the list below).
  2. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS AN ONLINE MEMBERSHIP FORM: Printable membership form (you must use a paper form for this program).
Completing the printable membership form online is highly recommended so that names and contact information are clearly provided.
  • If your system doesn't automatically open the form and allow you to fill it in online, you can also download it to type in the information.
  •  Another option is to download it and complete it by hand.
  • If you use Mozilla Firefox, you may need to follow the prompts to "open with different viewer."
    3. Print the form. Unfortunately, the information you input cannot be saved electronically, so print an extra copy if you wish to keep one.
    4. Mail your completed form and a $5 check (made out to your state ACDA, e.g., "Louisiana ACDA") to the contact listed for your state below. States will bundle their student applications, so it will take a little longer to process your application - check with your state representative if you have questions.
    5. The deadline for joining ACDA under this program is June 30, 2015 - though some states have set an earlier deadline, or limited the number of available memberships under the program. Check in the list below to see if there are restrictions noted - or contact your state representative.

You cannot join ACDA online under this initiative - you must complete a membership form, print it out, and forward it with your check to your state contact. If you join online you will pay the normal student rate of $35. We are not able to refund regular student dues to let you switch to this program, so please read the requirements carefully.
