Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Standards (R&S) Committee Purpose and Function

The Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Standards (R&S) Committee provides support, vision, and resources for vocal jazz educators. Committees play an important role in serving vocal jazz. Vocal Jazz R&S committees provide:

  • Documents and Resources
  • Leadership and Information
  • Networking among colleagues
  • Maintaining Excellent Standards among colleagues
  • Professional Development Opportunities
  • Promoting vocal jazz music performance and participation in the lives of people

Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Standards Committee Chairs, appointed at the national, division, and state levels, serve conductors, teachers, composers, and constituencies who share similar interests. Chairs possess demonstrated expertise in vocal jazz and serve as leaders in the three primary efforts:
