Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Resources (R&R) Committee Purpose and Function

Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Resources Committee Chairs, appointed at the national, division, and state levels, serve conductors, teachers, composers, and constituencies who share similar interests. Chairs possess demonstrated expertise in vocal jazz and serve as leaders in the three primary efforts:

  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Commitment

The Vocal Jazz Repertoire and Resources Committee plays a vital role in the ACDA, providing to the membership access to resources, support, and communication that promote excellence in all aspects of the performance of vocal jazz. We provide this in the following ways:

  • Advocacy of vocal jazz as the true American choral art form in all educational, professional, and community settings
  • Repertoire and literature recommendations
  • Access to informational documents and resources
  • Leadership and Information
  • Networking among colleagues
