Two-Year College Repertoire & Standards Mission Statement
Overview and Mission.
The Repertoire and Standards Committee for Two-Year Colleges is one of thirteen R & S Committees that seek to provide resources that promote excellence in all aspects of the performance of choral music. The Two-Year College Committee promotes collaboration, communication, and commitment in serving conductors, teachers, composers, and constituencies at the two-year college level. In coordination with the other twelve repertoire and standards committees of ACDA, the Two-Year College Committee seeks to improve the quality of choral performance and literature in the United States. (Article XIII, Section 4, ACDA Bylaws)

- Assist in planning Interest Sessions and Roundtables for state, division, and national conferences.
- Encourage excellent two-year college choirs to submit tapes/applications for performance at all conferences.
- In the future, periodically survey the state of the choral art at the two-year college level and report the findings to all interested parties.
- Develop a database of all two-year college choral programs nationwide to facilitate increased communication and involvement in matters of choral interest.
- Act as a resource for program development and as an advocate for helping two-year college choral programs communicate to their various constituencies.
- Develop topics of interest to two-year college programs for inclusion in the Choral Journal and other ACDA newsletters and communications.
