Derrick Brookins

Allen, Texas

Derrick Brookins serves as a devoted contributor of choral musical education. After completing his formal training in Choral Music Education at the esteemed University of North Texas, Derrick further honed his expertise with a Master’s in Secondary Education/Administration from Concordia University. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue his EdD from North Central University in San Diego, California, cementing his commitment to continuous growth and development in his field.Derrick’s formative years were marked by a transformative mentorship under the tutelage of the legendary choral musician, Moses Hogan, with whom he studied and performed for thirteen remarkable years.
