Repertoire

What need does every choral conductor from every walk of life share? New repertoire ideas! ACDA members can review recommendations and look for ideas using any of the following resources.

ACDA’s YouTube Channel

Our NationalACDA channel has recordings from national and regional conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Musica International

ACDA members have privileged access to Musica International, an international database of choral music searchable in a multitude of ways. Click here to begin exploring.

Reading Sessions

A central activity at ACDA state, regional, and national conferences is reading sessions focusing on vetted selections by genre, choir type, and publisher. Some states and regions run stand-alone reading sessions and institutes that have become a must-attend for their members. In addition, special events such as the annual Children’s Choir Director Retreat and the Boychoir Symposium offer repertoire lists.

To review lists from past regional and national conferences, scroll down to Vetted Lists from Repertoire & Resources Committees and click on the area you are interested in reviewing.

Choral Journal

Choral Journal regularly includes reviews of new music and recordings, as well as suggested repertoire lists.

Vetted Lists from Repertoire & Resources Committees

A central focus of the National Repertoire & Resources (R&R) Committee is developing vetted repertoire lists in each of our R&R areas. The committee chairs develop reading lists for national conferences. Please click through to the specific repertoire pages to review and download lists from past conferences and workshops. Some areas have additional resources as well.

“Being able to attend state and national conferences through ACDA has allowed me to create lifelong friendships, gain a variety of curriculum resources, and introduce new choral literature into my repertoire.”
