There are a wide range ACDA member benefits available to students!
ACDA Student Chapters
- Student chapters are one of the best way to connect with other students and develop leadership on campus. We offer a range of support to help chapter leaders connect with each other and share ideas.
- Want to find out if your school has an existing chapter? Do you want to start a chapter? Click here for more on student chapters.

Publishing Opportunities
- Publish in the “Student Times” section of Choral Journal (for information, contact Student Times editor, Jason Paulk).

Mentoring
Lodestar is ACDA’s mentoring program for student (and other) members.
- To find a mentor, go to the Lodestar site at https://mentoring.acda.org/ and hit “Create Account.” Registering as an Apprentice (for a one-on-one mentoring relationship) requires ACDA membership and enough information about you that later in the process, the mentor you request will know if the match will be “right.” Once you have created your account and it has been approved (usually within one business day), then sign in and proceed to search for a mentor.
- Another option is to register as a Community Participant. That option does not require membership, and is quick and easy. To join the Student Community, register as a Community Participant and once you are approved, go to your profile and join the Student Community (left column).
