Hinshaw Music Series

Newly Published! – Excellence in Choral Music: A History of the American Choral Directors Association, by Marvin E. Latimer, Jr.

This comprehensive history of ACDA is dedicated to the luminaries that founded and built it into the artistic statement for choral music that it is today. Studies in Choral Music Series

The Studies in Choral Music Series presents authored and edited books on choral music topics. Books are published through a partnership with Hinshaw Music, revitalizing a long history of collaborations that include the publication of Lawrence Schenbeck’s Joseph Haydn and the Classical Choral Tradition and Joan Conlon’s Performing Monteverdi: A Conductor’s Guide. A call for proposals may be found here.


Historical Works Series

The Historical Works Series presented new editions of historical works either in collections for study and analysis or individual octavos for ensemble performance. Music is published through a partnership with Hinshaw Music. First publications in the series are yet to be released. A call for proposals may be found here.


Monographs

There are 18 monographs that are part of ACDA’s Monograph Series. The first was published in 1972; the last in 2014.The Monograph Series has been replaced with the new Studies in Choral Music Series and the Historical Works Series. A full list of monographs is available by clicking here.
