ACDA offers directors a variety of ways to perform and present at conferences. Active, Life/Paying Life and International members of ACDA may submit an application for their choirs to be featured in a concert session as a performing choir. Active, Life/Paying Life, Retired, Student, and International members can submit proposals for Interest Sessions. Finally, Active and Life/Paying Life can sponsor students for auditioned honor choirs.
Interest Sessions
Proposals for the national conference are typically accepted beginning as early as January and as late as April. Selections can usually be expected in early summer. There is usually no cost involved to submit your proposal and you may submit multiples.

Performing Choirs
Submit your group for the opportunity to perform at one of our conferences. Auditions for the national conference typically open in early spring the year prior to a conference and selections are normally announced in early summer. There is usually an audition fee involved and will require an application, recordings and program materials from your past four years.

Honor Choirs
You also have the opportunity to sponsor your students to audition and participate in our honor choirs. These groups are auditioned and selected participants will spend the conference week preparing for performances that typically take place on Saturday during the conference. Honor choirs typically involve an application fee, a participation fee and travel/lodging expenses.
