Only ACDA Active, Life, or Retired members may register students for honor choirs. ONLY ACDA Sponsor Teachers can submit students for honor choir. Students should NOT submit themselves and could be disqualified by doing so. All submission information must be coordinated by the ACDA sponsor teacher.
The application deadline is 11:59pm central time on September 26, 2024. Help desk support will be available until 5pm central time on the deadline date. Once the help desk closes, further support will not be provided. Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.
Credit or debit card payment(s) are the only payment options. Checks will not be accepted. See information below about navigating your electronic payment options below.
This year, ACDA is utilizing a new system for Honor Choir applications. Please review the information below carefully. The help desk will be open for technical support and questions through 5pm central time on September 26, 2024. After 5pm central time, no further support will be provided. Here are some FAQs about the process
What information will I need to have on hand to successfully submit my student(s) application(s)?
You will want to have the following information on had BEFORE beginning your submission process:
- Your ACDA member number. You must have a current active, retired, or life membership to submit students for honor choir auditions. Entering an incorrect member number may disqualify your applications.
Need to find your number? Go to acda.org and click sign in in the upper right. Follow the procedure. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folder for password reset emails. Still having a problem? Contact us at .
- Teacher Contact Information. Your best email address, your school name, your district name, and the billing address for your school/district.
- Your payment method. Only debit or credit card payments are accepted. No checks. You have several options for these payments. See the next section for details.
- Singer Information. Singer’s Name, Voice Part, and Grade Level. If using parent pay option (see payment method info in next section), you will also need a valid email address for the parent.
- Audition recordings, conforming to the requirements here. Allowed audio file types include mp3, m4a, flac, ogg.
What Options Do I have to Pay the Application Fee?
The application fee is $30 per student, regardless of grade level or choir type. Credit or debit card payment(s) are the only payment types accepted.
Option 1 Send a Payment Request to a Parent/Guardian: Often teachers want to be able for parents/guardians to be able to pay the registration cost themselves. You have the option to have a payment link sent to an individual for them to pay the registration cost. You will need a valid email address for the person who should receive the payment link. During the application process and at the payment section of the application, select “Send payment request to Parent/Guardian.” The system will send them a payment link to use and will also notify you when the payment has been made.
Option 2 Pay by Credit or Debit Card for 1-3 students: At the end of each application, simply pay by credit or debit card. Be advised that some credit/debit cards will stop allowing you to process multiple transactions after 3-5 transactions. This is unpredictable and every credit/debit card is different. If you need to process more than 3 transactions, we recommend you use the bulk payment option to avoid any issues with your credit card processing.
Option 3 Pay by Credit or Debit Card for 4 or more students using one form of payment: Follow the following steps:
- First, complete the application for each student.
- At the payment section on the application, select “Bulk Purchase.”
- Visit the Bulk Payment Form link on the email confirmation for the student or CLICK HERE. You only need to visit the link once and place all students on the same form and make one payment for all students at the same time. You will need the Singer ID# from your confirmation emails to complete the form.
- Your students are not registered until their application is submitted AND the bulk payment has been made. You must complete both steps for students to be eligible.
