Student Conducting Competition Chorus

For the 2011 competition, we are asking college and university Directors of Choral Activities to assist us in creating the choir that competing students will conduct. We are asking you to nominate balanced quartets of students to be a part of the Conducting Repertoire Choir. Each college or university is invited to nominate one quartet of its finest singers. The American Choral Directors Association will sponsor a session to disseminate the results of excellent research in any aspect of the choral art. Submissions must be postmarked by September 15, 2010.

The Robert Shaw Award will be given to a choral leader who has made unusual contributions to the art of choral music.
