History:

1966 -- Committee on Junior College Choral Music formed with Jane Skinner Hardester as chair.

1966-91 -- ACDA National Convention programs list Junior and Community College Choirs as a standing committee.

3/13/91 -- Recommendation to National Board that name of committee be changed to Two-Year College Choirs.

3/15/91 -- First ever ACDA National Junior and Community College Honor Choir, ACDA National Convention, Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Douglas McEwen, conductor; Dr. Thomas Miller, honor choir coordinator.

10/24/91 -- Name change approved by National Board.

2/26/94 -- Central Division Two-Year College Honor Choir, Central Division Convention, Chicago, IL. Dr. Axel Theimer, conductor; Dr. Thomas Stauch, honor choir coordinator.

3/23/96 -- Southwestern Division Two-Year College Honor Choir, Southwestern Division Convention, Dallas, TX. Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe, conductor; Dr. D. Brent Ballweg, honor choir coordinator. Performed division premiere of the 1996 Raymond W. Brock Memorial Commissioned Work: That I Shall Never Look Upon Thee More by James Mulholland.

3/8/97 -- National Two-Year College Honor Choir, ACDA National Convention, San Diego, CA. Dr. William B. Hatcher, conductor; Dr. Thomas Stauch, honor choir coordinator. Performed premiere of 1997 Raymond W. Brock Memorial Commissioned Work: God Be With Us by Stephen Paulus.
