ACDA Announces Dates for the 2027 National Conference!

Singing Through The Ages Will Take Place in Minneapolis March 7–10, 2027.

Join us in Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 7–10, 2027 for four days of exceptional performances, engaging sessions presented by leaders in choral music education, and opportunities to connect with colleagues via informal settings. The 2027 ACDA National Conference is designed to deliver an exceptional artistic and educational experience at the best possible value.

Enjoy Extraordinary Headline Choirs

ACDA is proud to feature three globally-celebrated ensembles to headline the conference:

  • Conspirare, Craig Hella Johnson, Artistic Director (USA)
  • Incheon City Chorale, Euijoong Yoon, Artistic Director (South Korea)
  • Tenebrae, Nigel Short-Director (United Kingdom)

These choirs represent diverse traditions, unmatched artistry, and international prestige—offered within a conference framework intentionally designed to remain budget-friendly.

A New Schedule That Works in Your Favor

For the first time, the 2027 ACDA National Conference will follow a Sunday–Wednesday format.

Why this is advantageous:

  • Competitive hotel rates through off-peak pricing
  • Lower travel demand compared to peak weekend starts
  • Reduced expenses for meeting and performance facilities keeps the budget in check
  • Savings on lodging and meals for members

This strategic shift allows ACDA to control expenses without compromising programming quality—a top priority as we plan for the future.

The 2027 Call for Performing Choirs, Interest Sessions, and Insight Choirs will be published before the end of 2025. The application will open in February 2026.

A Commitment to Value and Artistry

The 2027 ACDA National Conference reflects a thoughtful balance of artistry, professional development, and fiscal responsibility. From production choices to scheduling decisions, the Conference Committee has considered every element through the lens of access, sustainability, and value for our members.

We cannot wait to share what’s ahead. So, mark your calendars NOW and plan to join us in March 2027!
