Cambiata Tenor-Bass Choir

Cambiata Tenor-Bass Choir

McMillan Junior High School
Wylie, Texas

Conductor, Daryl Jackson

The choir program at McMillan Junior High School in Wylie, Texas, is a thriving community filled with joy, laughter, and students who proudly call themselves “choir kids.” The Cambiata Tenor-Bass Choir comprises thirty-five seventh- and eighth-grade singers whose kindness, curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm are at the heart of the ensemble. Under the direction of Daryl Jackson, the choir consistently earns superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Evaluation, while its singers also achieve individual success through Solo & Ensemble and membership in TMEA all-region choirs. Above all, McMillan choir is a place where students find belonging, build confidence, and discover the joy of making music alongside their friends. The Cambiata Tenor-Bass Choir proudly demonstrates that middle school boys are capable of meaningful, expressive artistry—and that excellence and fun can absolutely go hand in hand.
