Bio: Khyle Wooten is Associate Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He engages professional activity as an educator, conductor, researcher, and composer. His previous teaching posts include junior and senior high charter schools in the cities of Philadelphia and Atlanta. Wooten is a current fellow of the Future of Music Faculty Fellowship. At present, he leads ongoing research on Black women composers and choral music pedagogues. Wooten holds degrees in music education and choral conducting from Lincoln University of PA (BS), Georgia State University (MM), and Florida State University (Ph.D).
