The National Taiwan Hakka Children’s Choir was founded in 2019 by the Hakka Affairs Council and is Taiwan’s only national-level children’s choir dedicated to promoting Hakka music and culture through choral singing. Internationally acclaimed conductor Meng-Hsien Peng serves as its artistic director and conductor. In 2021 the choir came under the Hakka Public Communication Foundation, expanding its global reach through digital and media strategies. Comprising over fifty young singers selected through open auditions, the choir performs traditional and contemporary Hakka works through pure, resonant children’s voices. With a mission to bridge Taiwan and the world, it continues to share the spirit of Hakka culture on the international stage.
