The Detroit School of Arts Concert Choir is the premier vocal ensemble of the Grammy Award-winning Detroit School of Arts in Midtown Detroit. Comprising advanced vocal music majors, the ensemble represents the highest standard of choral artistry, scholarship, and leadership. Under the direction of Julian J. Goods, the choir consistently earns Superior I ratings at MSVMA Festivals and received top honors at the 2025 WorldStrides Heritage Festival, including Best Concert Choir and the Choral Sweepstakes Award. The ensemble is the 2026 MSVMA Outstanding Choir of the Year and performed at the 2026 Midwestern ACDA Region Conference. They have collaborated with the Detroit and Lansing Symphony Orchestras and the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club, with appearances at the Kennedy Center, Michigan Youth Arts Festival, and Abyssinian Baptist Church.
