Lee Nelson holds the Patricia R. Zahn Chair in Choral Conducting and serves as director of choral activities at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. He conducts the Wartburg Choir and Ritterchor and teaches choral literature and conducting. He is also the artistic director of Christmas with Wartburg and a recipient of the John O. Chellevold Award for Excellence in Teaching and Service. Under his leadership, the Wartburg Choir has performed at ACDA conferences, the White House, and the National Cathedral, and won The American Prize. Dr. Nelson is fortunate to conduct all-state and honor choirs across the United States. A committed educator and advocate for new music, he regularly commissions new works and oversees the Lee Nelson Choral Series published by ECS Publishing.
