The Wartburg Choir

The Wartburg Choir

The Wartburg Choir was founded in 1937 and is known internationally for musical excellence and a deep commitment to music across styles and eras. Membership is by audition and includes students from all academic disciplines. The ensemble values unaccompanied singing while honoring masterworks and championing new music through collaborations with various composers. For over eighty-five years, the choir has toured throughout the United States and internationally, serving as an ambassador of Wartburg College. Honors include winning The American Prize and performances at ACDA conferences, the White House, National Cathedral, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The Wartburg Choir strives to uphold a legacy of artistry, connection, and service through song.
