The Missouri State University Chorale is led by Cameron LaBarr, conductor, and Parker Payne, collaborative pianist. The Chorale performs regularly by invitation at national and international festivals, conferences, and competitions, including those for ACDA, NCCO, the Tolosa Choral Contest (Spain), the China International Choral Festival, the World Voices Conference of the International Federation for Choral Music (Kaili, China), and the Jeju (South Korea) Choral Festival. The MSU Chorale has performed by invitation at presidential and gubernatorial inaugurations in the United States. Within the past decade, the Chorale has toured South Africa (2016 and 2022); Iceland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden (2018); China (2018); South Korea (2024); Chile and Argentina (2024); and Australia and New Zealand (2026). The Chorale is recorded commercially on several albums.
The University Chorale will serve as the Student Conducting Masterclass Demonstration Choir for the 2027 National Conference.
