Pingyi Song

Pingyi Song

The University of North Carolina, Greensboro

Bio: Pingyi Song is a D.M.A. candidate in Choral Conducting at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. As a Chinese original musician, she is dedicated to promoting cultural exchange musically between the U.S. and China. Her research interests include a new approach to Mandarin Chinese lyric diction and compilation of Chinese and Eastern Asian choral literature. Ms.Song was selected as a graduate conducting fellow for NCCO9 and a national semi-finalist for The American Prize Dale Warland Award in Choral Conducting. She holds a Choral Summer School Certificate from Oxford University, U.K., and degrees from West Virginia University, Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, and Guangzhou University, China.
