Spire Baroque Orchestra

Spire Baroque Orchestra

Bio: The Spire Baroque Orchestra boasts a varied roster of North America’s finest period instrument players. The orchestra is featured annually in Spire’s critically acclaimed performances of Handel’s Messiah at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and performs additional masterworks by Monteverdi, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven. Principal concertmaster Elizabeth Blumenstock is a versatile performer who teaches at Juilliard and has been described by The New York Times as “a world-class early music violinist,” and many other orchestra members also hold faculty positions at distinguished institutions including Yale, Harvard, Indiana University, and The Juilliard School’s Historical Performance Program.
