Matheus Cruz Paes de Almeida

Matheus Cruz Paes de Almeida

University of Missouri - Kansas City

Bio: Matheus Cruz is a DMA student in choral conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Cruz concluded his master's degree in choral conducting at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2020. Before he arrived in the United States, Cruz received an artist diploma in choral conducting from the State University of Londrina and a degree in music education at the State University of Maringá. His articles "Choral singing and the elderly – rehearsal as a moment of great possibilities" were published in the Brazilian Music Educators Association 2014 and "Choosing the choral repertoire: a conductor's task?" in Musica Hodie's magazine -2016.
