Saunder Choi Music

Saunder Choi is a Los Angeles-based Filipino composer whose works have been performed internationally by various groups including the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the World Youth Choir. As a choral artist, he sings with Tonality, Pacific Chorale, HEX Vocal Ensemble, as well as in film scores such as the soundtrack of Disney’s The Lion King (2019), Mulan (2020), and Turning Red (2022).

He is currently Director of Music at Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica and a teaching artist with the Los Angeles Master Chorale Voices Within and Oratorio Project. www.saunderchoi.com

Dr. Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng is the President of the Philippine Choral Directors Association and a full-time faculty member of the University of the Philippines College of Music, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate conducting. She is a First Prize Winner at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Graduate Conducting Competition, the most prestigious national conducting competition in the United States. She is a member of the Artistic Committee for the 2023 World Symposium of Choral Music of the International Federation for Choral Music. She is also a Philippine representative to the Asia Pacific Choir Council.
