How to Submit a Lunch Break Video

You can submit a video and pertinent information by completing our submission form.

Submit a Lunch Break Video

Submission requirements:

For an example, and to hear more about the series, view the sample video above.

  • Less than five minutes, series are welcome (part 1, part 2, etc…).
  • Address a need of College & University conductors/educators.
  • Have clear audio and video.
  • By submitting, creators attest they have permission to publish both audio and video content, including any copyrighted material.
  • Creators attest any individual in the video has agreed to be recorded and published.

Any questions, reach out to Dean Luethi, ACDA National R & R Chair for 4-year University Choirs.

Content Suggestions:

Videos should not promote a product or be designed to benefit you financially. For example, your video, or content in the Lunch Card, should not refer to a website where viewers can purchase a publication or subscription.

Begin with:

Welcome – “Hello ACDA members, my name is XXX, and I am (my job). I want to welcome you to this lunch break.

Content:

What would be useful to College/University conductors?

  • Repertoire
  • Conducting Gesture
  • Rehearsal Techniques
  • Community/Culture Building
  • Resources
  • Curriculum
  • Vocal Pedagogy
  • Warm-ups
  • Other ideas?

What can you provide that will be useful to these conductors tomorrow or in the near future? Try to include:

  • Why is this important?
  • What is it?
  • How can I use it?

End with a call to action.

  • “Try this at your next rehearsal…”
  • “For more information on composers like this, here’s a helpful website.” Include the follow-up information on the submission form.
  • “Reach out to a local business or organization in your area to see if they will partner with you for your next concert….”

Feel free to have various forms of content in one video:

  • You facing the camera
  • Your choir uses a technique you introduce (you will attest to having permission to do so).
  • Short audio of a piece
  • We can stitch together the video if you provide the content and specific time markers of what to include
  • Videos should not promote a product or be designed to benefit you financially. For example, your video, or content in the Lunch Card, should not refer to a website where viewers can purchase a publication or subscription.

Any questions, reach out to Dean Luethi, ACDA National R & R Chair for 4-year University Choirs.
