ACDA sponsors a number of awards and competitions throughout the year designed to celebrate the highest levels of achievement in various areas of the choral art. Announcements are published in Choral Journal and on ChoralNet, and publicized to members in a range of other ways.

ACDA Student Chapter Award
The application period for 2025 is open. The deadline for submission is October 1, 2024.
Julius Herford Dissertation Prize
The current submission period is closed.
Dissertation nominations for degrees conferred in 2024 will open in May 2025.
Robert Shaw Choral Award
The nomination period for the 2025 award is open. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2024.
